Barbara Jean Gibbs, 71, of Searcy, AR, died Monday, August 23, 2004.

She was born October 18, 1932 in Chattanooga, TN. She was a wonderful homemaker and along with her husband, Joe, was a dedicated Missionary with the Church of Christ in Italy and Austria for 46 years.

Her father, Chester Ellis Blevins and her sister, Margaret Fressola, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joe E. Gibbs; mother, Rosa Lee Blevins of Signal Mountain; son, Geoffrey M. Gibbs of Springfield, VA; daughters, Joli Gibbs Love of Searcy, AR, and Taylor Jan Morgan of Santa Rosa, CA; brothers, Douglas W. Blevins of Chattanooga and Robert D. Blevins of Signal Mountain; sister, Martha Hillis of Signal Mountain, and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, at Mountain Creek Church of Christ with Ministers Eddie Reachard and Joe E. Gibbs officiating.

The family requests no flowers.
