Earldine Woodruff, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in a local hospital. She was surrounded by a very loving family.
She was born to parents, Evelyn and Anthony Barrow, on June 5, 1927 in Chattanooga, TN.
Earldine retired from All Saints Academy after many years of service. Earldine was the mother of eight children.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Cecelia Smith.
She is survived by her three daughters, Gail Cunningham, Bernadine (Jerry) Cranford, Sylvia (Lawrence) Dees; six sons, John (Anita) Woodruff, Jr., James (Patricia) Woodruff, Ernest (Brenda) Woodruff, Larry Woodruff, Lorenzo (Tangelia) Woodruff, Tony Smith, Sr., all of Chattanooga; nineteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Annie Pearl Potteridge, Rose (Lee) Jackson, both of Newnan, GA and Allene Barrow, Boston, MA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Laramore, NHC Station 3, Oncology wing at Memorial Hospital and Hospice.
Funeral services will be on Friday at Noon at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state on Thursday after Noon at Taylor Funeral Home.
