Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough Names New Partners, New Tax Manager

Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough, PLLC, Chattanooga-based accounting firm, announced that Karen D. Dyer, Travis Horton and Daniel L. Sheets have been named partners in the firm.

The firm also announced the promotion of Mimi Grine, CPA, to the position of Tax Manager.

Ms. Grine earned an MA in Accountancy from the University of Memphis and joined the firm in 2001. She served as tax senior for the firm before being named manager. Mimi serves on the board of directors for the Chattanooga Humane Educational Society, and resides in Chattanooga with her husband, Jeff.

Of the new partners, Donnie Hutcherson, managing partner, said, “All three associates have demonstrated the good judgment, insight, technical expertise, and dedication to client service that we expect in our partners. It is with great pleasure that we make this announcement.”

Ms. Dyer joined the firm in 1998, bringing with her a large amount of experience in automotive dealership accounting including years spent with GMAC and three years experience with a premier southeastern bank in its dealership sales finance group. Ms. Dyer’s areas of concentration include strategic business planning, financial planning, operational reviews, accounting/auditing, tax planning/preparation, and information systems. She earned a BBA in Accounting from East Tennessee State University and resides in Chattanooga.

Mr. Horton earned a B.S. in Accounting from East Tennessee State University and his MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a Certified Public Accountant. He joined HHM in 1999 after working for a firm in Johnson City, Tn. He divides his time between traditional accounting services and management services, which focuses on value added solutions to improve overall financial performance. He and his wife, Dawn, have one daughter and reside in Ooltewah.

Mr. Sheets joined the firm in 1996 after spending several years in the banking industry. He received his CPA certification after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. Mr. Sheets provides assurance and taxation services to privately held businesses and non-profit organizations. Audit clients served include manufactures, financial institutions, wholesalers, employee benefit plans, construction contractors, universities and schools and governmental entities. He resides in Ooltewah with his wife, Shannon, and their two sons.
