Kathy Loftin said, "Throughout the drive, not only Beta Club members, but teachers and staff as well, have witnessed something truly amazing. The compassion of students and staff has been overwhelming."

She said some 52 individuals contributed items.

These range from toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodrant, soap, hair brushes and shampoo to backpacks, crayons, markers, glue, scissors and more.

Ms. Loftis said, "It is uplifting to know that so many of our 'neighbors' will be helped by the generosity of the Loftis Middle School family."
