Ella Rossignol Anderson, 80, died on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006.

She had lived in the North Georgia area since 1962 and was a member of the St. Gerard Catholic Church. She also had retired from the Department of Social Security in 1982 after more than 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Yvonne Rossignol; daughter, Kyna Babb; and sister, Kathleen Morrell.

She is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Andy Anderson, of Fort Oglethorpe; two daughters, Sharon Anderson, of Fort Oglethorpe, and Joni Guinn, of Harrisonburg, VA; two sisters, Gertrude Thompson and Joyce Sloan, both of Maine; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Father Liam Coyne officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will begin receiving after 5 p.m. Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday.
