Kent Womack, 40, of Rossville, received one of 547 Pell Grant checks awarded by Northwestern Technical College on Monday morning at the Rock Spring campus.
Approximately $360,000 in Pell Grant money was issued to help pay for student education at N.T.C. for the winter quarter.
N.T.C. staffers Marilyn Buckner and Lisa Rubner helped disperse the checks to the students.
Spring quarter at Northwestern Technical College begins online and on-campus on April 3. Deadline to apply is March 15.
