David Moore, 63, of Chattanooga, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at his residence.
He was born in Middlesboro, Ky., and had lived in Louisville, Ky., prior to moving to Chattanooga 45 years ago.
David was a long time member of Chattanooga First Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he had served as elder, deacon, and teacher. He was a registered nurse and had worked at several area hospitals during his 30-year career. David was an avid woodworker and collector of woodworking tools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ancil and Viola Moore, and brother, Pat Sturgill.
David will be greatly missed by his loving family, his wife of 42 years, Connye Moore, Chattanooga; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lisa Moore, Chattanooga; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Mike Hancock, Knoxville; grandchildren, Savannah, Jackson, and Montgomery Moore, Chattanooga; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell and Linda Friberg, Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Billie Sturgill, Beaver Dam, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dwight Herod officiating. Private interment will be in Collegedale Cemetery.
