The fifth annual Chattanooga Classic Nationwide Tour begins Thursday and continues through Sunday at Black Creek Golf Club at Cummings Cove in Lookout Valley.
Tee times begin at 8 a.m. Thursday.
Five area players will participate in the tournament, including Luke List (former Baylor and Vanderbilt standout), Gibby Gilbert III (Director of Golf at Valleybrook), Mike "Bobcat'' Bennett from the Chattanooga Golf Center, Dalton's John Powell and Fort Payne's Scott Weatherly, who lost in a playoff in 2005.
General parking is available off I-24 at exit 174. Follow the signage to the parking lots which are located to the left just beyond Covenant Training Center. The Chattanooga Classic shuttle will transport spectators to and from Black Creek.
Tickets are available at the Black Creek Shuttle Stop. Daily tickets are $15. and weekly tickets are $30. Spectators are welcome to visit the “19th Hole” party tent in front of Black Creek Club, where there are 4 wide screen TVs for Tennessee Football game viewing, food & beverages, prize drawings and Chattanooga Classic merchandise.
Chattanooga Classic plays host to 144 professional golfers from around the world on the Nationwide Tour in Chattanooga. Players on the tour come from Australia, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, Scotland, Ringgold & Dalton, Georgia and many from throughout the United States.
The 2006 Chattanooga Classic winner was Kyle Reifers.
