Larry Joe Dillard, 62, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Charles A. Dillard and Doris G. Hogue and was preceded in death by his brother, Howard R. Dillard.

He was of the Baptist faith. Larry was veteran of the U.S. Air Force and an employee of Shaw Industries (LN Plant) in Ringgold. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Patricia "Pat" Dillard; two sons, Charles A. (Teresa) Dillard, Stephen (Melanie) Dillard, all of Ooltewah; four grandchildren, Alissa Baker, Briana Dillard, Larry Aaron Dillard, Alex Dillard; sister, Charlotte A. Culpepper, of East Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Denton officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
