Claude Edward Gouger, 81, a resident of Alexian Village, Signal Mountain, died on Thursday, April 26, 2007.
A lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, Mr. Gouger was a local business owner for 32 years who enjoyed the water, fishing and gardening. He was also a World War II veteran who served in the South Pacific and was a charter member of the downtown Sertoma Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Aline Gouger.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eloise Gouger; son, Mark (Beverly) Gouger, of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Sharon (Dr. Richard) Gadd, of Lookout Mountain, Kim Webb, Patti (James) Newell, of Acworth, Ga.; brother, Carl “Jack” (Betty) Gouger, of Chattanooga; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
