Polly Jean (Howard) Fella
Polly Jean (Howard) Fella, 88, went home to be with her Father our God on August 1, 2025. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, with her family by her side.
She was of the Baptist faith, and loved all her children and grandchildren. She lived life to its fullest, having fun and laughing with those she so dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo “Tony” Fella; her parents, Matilda Cordell Howard and Wilburn Jasper Howard; her three sisters, Doni McCormick, Ruth Farmer and Ann Laura Green; her three brothers, Cordell Howard, Raymond Howard and Kelly Howard; a grandson, Michael Hughes; and a son-in-law, James Dunwood.
Left behind to cherish Polly’s memory are her four daughters, Peggy Reed (Adam), Mary Bilbao (Steve), Linda Dunwoody and Laura Morgan; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Polly’s Life will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 1 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, with Hospice Chaplain Scott McMillan officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, Aug. 4 from 4-8 p.m. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Angelo, in the Chattanooga Memorial Park, following the service.
