David Lee Townsend died May 9, 2007 in Chattanooga.
He is survived by his daughter, LaTonia (Howard) Simmons; grandson, David Lee Townsend II; great-granddaughter, Da-Shuja Townsend; sister, Carolyn Zellander; brother, Houston (Denise) Townsend.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at McCallie Chapel with Rev. Robert Chaney officiating. Internment will be in Ruth Cofer Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to services at the McCallie Chapel of Franklin-Strickland Funeral Directors.
