Rick Gomes, 52, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at a local hospital.
Mr. Gomes was a native of Oakland, Ca., living most of his life in Alameda, Ca., and the last nine years in Chattanooga. He was a Sprinkler Fitter by trade with the Local 483 in San Francisco.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Donald and Doris Gomes; and grandparents, Bertha and Lou Jameson.
He is survived by his two children, Ginger and Tamara Gomes; mother and step-father, Evelyn and Gary L. Erickson of Chattanooga; sister, Bonita Cross of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Tuesday form 5-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
