Rock City announced the opening of Cornerstone Gifts located next to Starbucks, across from the main Rock City ticket entrance. The store opening is in response to local requests to have easy access to a gift shop without having to pay the park admission price.
Rock City General Manager Doran Carrell said, “In response to local resident requests for Rock City memorabilia and gift items, Rock City has opened a new shop with the most popular gift items outside the gates for easy access.”
“This store is especially convenient for guests to not have to carry their merchandise around with them through the trail,” said Bob Fretts, retail employee at Rock City. “Visitors can load purchases in their vehicle right next to the store.” Mr. Fretts stated that local residents who hold annual passes to Rock City have loved being able to quickly pick up a birdhouse on their way up or down the mountain.
Cornerstone Gifts is open daily from 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Rock City’s special edition Precious Moments dolls are also available for purchase at this location, with a few dolls left signed by Precious Moments Company President Richard Hay. Merchandise is also available online at www.seerockcity.biz.
Just six miles from downtown Chattanooga, Rock City features a 100-foot waterfall, an overlook with the legendary, panoramic view of seven states, and a swing-along bridge that spans nearly 200 feet, offering thrilling views to the adventurous souls who cross it.
Rock City is open daily for self-guided tours, with extended hours through Labor Day from 8:30 a.m.–8 p.m. For more information, visit www.seerockcity.com.
