Dusty Dewayne Lancaster, 26, died on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008.
Dusty from a very young age enjoyed firefighting. He was a volunteer firefighter at New Home, a paid firefighter for Catoosa County, Ga. He was also a dispatcher for Memorial Hospital. He was an EMT and First Responder for New Home Fire Department where he lived.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adam and Myrna Lancaster and Joe and Martha West.
He is survived by his father, Wayne; mother, JoAnne Griffith; stepmother, Mae Lancaster; stepfather, Darrell Mariedth; brothers, Michael K. King, Jasper, Bobby Morgan and David Ford, Trenton; sisters, Linda Gail King, Chattanooga, Talisha Daniell Whitaker, Bridgeport, Lashon and Tina Morgan, Trenton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday at noon CST with the Rev. Mike Howell and the Rev. David Houck officiating. Interment will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Tipparelli, Dean Hood, Chris Hood, Steve Guinn, R. J. Guinn, Chuck Nichols, Thomas Jordi and Steve Wooten. Firemen and EMT's will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. CST and Thursday.
