Erlanger Leader Misty Brackett Elected As President Of HFMA’s Tennessee Chapter

The Tennessee Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association has announced the election of Erlanger Vice President Misty Brackett to the Chapter’s board of directors, effective June 1.

"As president, Ms. Brackett will be responsible for managing all HFMA chapter activities and for the chapter's overall operation," officials said. "She will work to ensure member needs are addressed and a high-quality level of activity is maintained."

HFMA Senior Vice President of Member Experience and Business Development Bill Casey said, "Misty’s leadership style will be an asset to the Tennessee Chapter as well as the Association."

Ms.
Brackett currently serves as the vice president of revenue cycle for Erlanger in Chattanooga. Prior to joining Erlanger, she held multiple leadership roles including Health Information Management director and chief compliance officer for a critical access hospital in North Dakota and director of operations for Healthport. Active in many professional organizations, Ms. Brackett is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association. She holds a Healthcare Compliance Certification from Health Care Compliance Association and a Registered Health Information Administrator Certification from the American Health Information Association. She earned a master of business administration from Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota, and a bachelor of science in health information management from the University of Cincinnati.
