The Bethlehem Center is excited to announce the 2025 recipients of its Summer Grants Program, which supports youth enrichment programs across Chattanooga. This year, the program awarded two rounds of funding: one to support local organizations in running impactful summer camps, and another to provide enrichment opportunities directly to those camps through community partners.
This summer, 22 nonprofit organizations and ministries received a total of $90,000 to lead youth programs that promote learning, discipleship, and leadership development. Altogether, these grantees will deliver an estimated 2,000 hours of programming to more than 1,200 Chattanooga youth, while also employing 73 local teens in summer jobs.
An additional $30,000 was awarded to eight community partners who will collaborate directly with summer camps to provide experiences in the arts, outdoor adventure, and spiritual development. From dance and mural-making to mindfulness and faith-based activities, these partners help bring fun to youth all summer long.
“This year, we’re proud to support a vibrant lineup of community programs. From ballet and hip hop dance camps to outdoor camps,” said Lillian Moore, Director of the Summer Grants Program. “Thanks to the passion of the Maclellan Foundation, kids across Chattanooga are able to move, make, and grow all summer long.”
The Bethlehem Center’s Summer Grants Program is designed to ensure that students' learning and personal growth continue beyond the traditional school year. With average awards of $4,000, the grants support organizations that serve youth in underserved communities through education, discipleship, and leadership-focused programming.
