The Chattanooga Lookouts opened up their home series with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Tuesday night and couldn't hold off a late rally, losing 9-8 in ten innings.
Starting pitcher Donovan Benoit gave another solid effort on the mound going five innings and allowing only two runs on four hits with three strikeouts. Brooks Crawford struggled in two innings of relief and took a blown save after giving up four earned runs on three hits with two walks. Drew Parrish took the tough luck loss in the tenth allowing the automatic runner to score despite giving up no runs and striking out two. He moves to 1-5 on the season. Cam Collier had a crucial error at first base in the deciding inning.
The Blue Wahoos pitched carefully to Lookouts' star Cam Collier, walking him four times on the evening. Jay Allen II notched a three run homerun in the bottom of the fourth. Sal Stewart had two of the Lookouts six total hits and is now hitting .327 on the year.
The Lookouts will look to even the series on Wednesday night in Chattanooga.
