The NSDAR Moccasin Bend Chapter made contributions to two organizations, the Family Justice Center and the VA Clinic.
Twenty-three bags of toiletries were donated to the Family Justice Center, which serves residents of Hamilton County and the city of Chattanooga by providing these services: helping individuals find a safe place for themselves, their children, and pets; education and awareness regarding domestic violence, elder abuse, and human trafficking, referrals to services available in Chattanooga; civil legal services and help with obtaining Orders of Protection, personal support in court appointments; emotional support, free individual and family counseling.
The chapter also donated water and snacks to the VA Clinic. The VA outpatient clinic provides primary care and specialty health services, including mental health care, dental care, telehealth, audiology and speech for veterans and their families.
