Alpha Beta ESA Chapter is hosting its first “Rush” event for 2025 starting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at Room for You, 7616 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421. The free event, a Bunco Party, will include light refreshments in a welcoming atmosphere, lots of fun, and informational tables focusing on the charities that Alpha Beta supports. All are welcome to this free Bunco Party.
Bunco is a dice game usually played with 12 or more people divided into groups of four. Players roll three dice each round trying to match the round number. Players score by matching the round number and yell “Bunco” for rolling three of the same number as the round being played. The game is easy to play and lots of fun.
Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) is a premiere service organization and Alpha Beta is one of five chapters in the Chattanooga area. In 1972 all chapters nationwide adopted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as their major philanthropic project, but chapters are also free to choose additional philanthropies to support if desired. In addition to supporting St. Jude (Chattanooga Dream Home, US-101 St. Jude Radiothon, Heartstrings for Hope, and Tony O’Rear Bowl for Life), Alpha Beta supports the Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center (Charity Bingo, Easter Baskets, Annual Nut Sale, and Swing for Hope), Orange Grove Center (refurbishing of homes for adult-age residents), and Hope for Heroes (Wreaths Across Chattanooga, Tunnels to Towers, and assorted Christmas projects).
