McLemore Resort is marking Independence Day by inviting the public to attend Carnival Americana, a celebration high above the clouds and heat of the season. Held on Saturday, July 5, the event will feature an old-fashioned community fair with popcorn, inflatables and fun for kids of all ages.
A summer buffet will feature traditional holiday fare to tempt appetites of all ages and sizes.
The festivities will feature a performance from American singer-songwriter Sarah Darling.
Her credits include five full-length albums, multiple singles, including a #1 on the UK Country charts and over 90 appearances on the Grand Ole Opry stage.
Fireworks will cap the evening at 9:30 p.m. high above McLemore Cove.
Beer, wine and cocktails will be available at the cash bar, while food from the buffet is available for $40 for adults and $15 for children. An entrance fee of $25 is required for non-resort guests and members, with tickets limited to 200. The entry fee is included for overnight guests of Cloudland Hotel and McLemore Club members. Children 12 and under are free. As tickets are limited, guests are encouraged to secure their reservations by the end of the week.
"Known for our world-class golf offerings, reservations for The Highlands Course, The Keep and the short course are strongly encouraged for the weekend," officials said. "Guests desiring a different dining experience from the featured buffet are encouraged to make reservations at any of McLemore’s restaurants including The Creag or Cloudland’s Auld Alliance and Croft.
"For those wishing to stay overnight to enjoy the amenities at Cloudland at McLemore Resort, including the cliff-edge infinity pool, ticket reservations are available at www.staycloudland.com."
McLemore Resort president Mike Burton said, “Independence Day is one of our favorite holidays at McLemore. From the golf cart parade and picnic buffet to the fireworks that light up over McLemore Cove, there’s no place better to experience our nation’s birthday than with us. We can’t wait to see you.”
