The Chattanooga Lookouts continued a dominating week against the Rocket City Trash Pandas sweeping a doubleheader on Saturday by the scores of 6-3 and 4-1. The have won all six games in the series with the pitching staff not allowing more than three runs in any of the games.
In Game One starting pitcher starting pitcher Kevin Abel went four strong innings allowing two runs on three hits. He struck out four. Reliever Carson Rudd picked up his second win of the season and Simon Rudd earned his fifth save allowing no runs in an inning and a third. Right fielder Hector Rodriguez continued his offensive tear with a double and a tripe. He scored two runs. Designated hitter Sal Stewart smacked two homeruns in a 3-4 game.
In Game Two starter Jared Lyons and reliever T.J. Sikkema combined for ten strikeouts in seven innings, allowing on two hits and one run. Sikkema earned the win and moves to 3-1. Rodriguez went 2-3 and hit his tenth homerun of the year. Designated hitter Cam Collier went 3-4 and is now hitting .435 for the Lookouts.
Chattanooga looks to complete the seven game sweep on Sunday. It is a 3:35 p.m. start for the finale.
