Hospice Of Chattanooga Names New Director Of Marketing

  • Friday, December 11, 2009

Hospice of Chattanooga has named former pharmaceutical sales representative and marketing manager Bobby Brooksbank director of marketing.

Mr. Brooksbank has nearly 15 years experience working in sales and management with physicians in the greater Chattanooga area. Those relationships will be invaluable as he works to educate the medical community on the services of Hospice of Chattanooga, officials said.

“I consider it a great privilege to teach the community about the special kind of caring Hospice of Chattanooga offers patients and families,” said Mr.

Brooksbank.

Mr. Brooksbank has experienced Hospice of Chattanooga’s quality care personally. The organization’s physicians, nurses, and social workers treated his dying mother 16 years ago. When Hospice of Chattanooga was called in, doctors believed Mr. Brooksbank’s mother had less than six months to live.

“Because of her tumor, my mother lost the ability to write and speak clearly,” explained Mr. Brooksbank. “HOC nurses read to her and helped her write down her last thoughts to share with us after she passed. They enabled my mother to live a year longer than expected, and that time was spent to the fullest.”

In addition to physician education, Mr. Brooksbank will supervise four marketing representatives to ensure everyone who needs hospice care in this region receives it, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay for that care.
