Shelia Diane Mobbs, 53, of Gaylesville, Ala., died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Mobbs was born January 13, 1956 in Trion, Ga., the daughter of Fred McDonald and the late Betty Tapp Slayton. She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church. Mrs. Mobbs was co-owner and operator of M & M Embroidery.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Slayton.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Wayne Mobbs; children, Michael Wayne Mobbs, Jackie Brewster, Kimberly Daggett, and Belinda Keith, all of Gaylesville, Ala.; father, Freddie McDonald; Centre, Ala.; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Maryann McDonald, Centre; sisters and brothers-in-law, Vickie & Freddy Rich, Summerville, Ga.; Deborah & Phillip Nixon, Gaylesville, Ala.; and grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Wise, Austin Reed, and Alissa Keith.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. (EST) Friday, at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Teague and Rev. Mickey Skates officiating. Burial will follow in Weiss Lake Memorial Garden. Active pallbearers will be Chadney McDonald, Tracy Mitchell, Matt Floyd, Dean cornett, Nicky Carter, and David Broome. Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle Mitchell, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mobbs will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. (EST) Thursday. Mason Funeral Homes is in charge of the arrangements.
