Songbirds Presents An Intimate Night With Steve Earle July 2

  • Tuesday, May 6, 2025

Fresh off his recent Grand Ole Opry induction by Vince Gill, legendary songwriter and performer Steve Earle will headline an exclusive Dinner and Show Fundraiser at Songbirds on Wednesday, July 2.

Review for Steve Earle:

The event marks a rare opportunity to experience one of America's most celebrated troubadours up close in a unique listening room environment. Earle, whose hits like Guitar Town and Copperhead Road have defined generations of country and Americana music, continues to be one of the most vital voices in American songwriting. His 1988 classic Copperhead Road was officially designated a state song of Tennessee in 2023.

A protégé of Townes Van Zandt and Guy Clark, Steve Earle is a Grammy Award-winning artist, acclaimed novelist, actor (The Wire, Treme), and radio host. His influence spans country, rock, and folk music, and his songs have been recorded by legends such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris and Joan Baez. His latest album, Alone Again (Live), was released in July 2024.

Songbirds is proud to host Earle in a city that helped shape his career — Vince Gill, who inducted Earle into the Opry, was once a brand ambassador for Songbirds. This fundraiser will support the Foundation’s mission to inspire leadership, creativity, and confidence through music education and industry career development for youth across the region.

For the event on July 2, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Doors for the show only will open at 7:45 p.m., with the show at 8 p.m. Songbirds is at 206 W. Main St.

Dinner and show tickets include a full meal by celebrated local chefs Cynthia Wood and Antonia Poland of Dipped Fresh, featuring slow-cooked pot roast, jerk pork tenderloin with pineapple habanero sauce, classic sides and fresh chocolate-dipped treats. Limited "show-only" seats are now sold out.

All proceeds support Songbirds Foundation programs, including providing free guitars and lessons to underserved youth. For every $100 raised, a child receives a guitar and 10 weeks of free instruction.

Tickets are extremely limited. Reserve at www.songbirdsfoundation.org/events/steve-earle-2025.
