Erlanger Neurology will host its annual Strike Out Stroke Night on Thursday, May 8 at 7:15 p.m. at AT&T Field during the Chattanooga Lookouts baseball game.
For more than a decade, Erlanger Neurology has partnered with the Chattanooga Lookouts for Strike Out Stroke. Throughout the baseball game, the Erlanger stroke team will provide attendees with information about the signs and symptoms of strokes and how to get emergent care at Erlanger. This year’s Strike Out Stroke will also feature a first pitch thrown by a stroke survivor who was treated by Erlanger providers.
"We are excited to partner once again with the great Chattanooga Lookouts during the month of May (National Stroke Month) to promote stroke awareness in our community,” said Erin Patterson.
Erlanger Stroke Program manager. ”Stroke is the leading cause of disability worldwide and is within the top five causes of death in the United States. Together we can strike out stroke in our region by learning to recognize the signs and symptoms of stroke, and to act fast by calling 911.”
“Strike Out Stroke Night is a wonderful and impactful night at the ballpark, " said Chattanooga Lookouts President Rich Mozingo. "We are excited to partner with Erlanger to raise awareness and educate our fans on how to spot the symptoms of a stroke."
