Charles McConnell
Reverend Charles E. “Sonny” “Tabin” McConnell, 60, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, July 26, 2009 in a local hospital.
He was a member of Greater Nazarene Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cornelia McConnell; sisters, Marketta Green, Sonia Faye and Jan Maria McConnell.
Survivors include his wife, Valery McConnell; daughter, Tanya Cherry; step-sons, Adrian and Carldedrus Norwood; seven grandchildren; brother, Roy Chester (Zeddie) McConnell; sisters, Christine Williams, Shirley Bates and Mary E. McConnell; devoted uncle, Gary Luster; devoted friends, Johnny Reid and Robert Chaney Jr.; a host of nieces; nephews; in-laws; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Robert Robert Chaney Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
