Asher Love Studio and Gallery, located in historic St. Elmo, will be exhibiting photographs by Asher Mendonsa.

The opening will be Saturday from 6-9 p.m.

In 2005, at age 17, Asher was severely injured when he fell 40 feet while trying to take pictures of the city skyline just as darkness was about to fall.

His father, Andy Mendonsa, said, "This opening, in many ways, is a celebration of not only Asher’s survival, but also his seemingly unstoppable determination to continue with this medium of artistic expression despite the many physical challenges that his injuries have left him with."

The exhibit will run through the end of September.

He specializes in model photography. Photography sessions are by appointment only.

The studio is at 3914 St. Elmo Ave.
