Author Homer Hickam will meet fans and sign copies of The Dinosaur Hunter on Nov. 13 at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Place.
The Dinosaur Hunter Synopsis: Montana’s ranches come with more than their share of trouble. The people who live there expect it—some of them even enjoy it. One of them is Mike Wire, a former homicide detective who now spends his days running the Square C Ranch and pining for its owner, Jeanette Coulter. But the badlands are home to more than horses, cattle and cowboys.
Beneath the surface are dinosaur bones that could be worth a fortune. When a paleontologist arrives at the ranch to dig, Mike senses trouble. Once discovered, those bones won’t stay buried, and when a murderer begins to stalk the dinosaur hunting grounds, Mike will have to fight to protect the people and the land he has come to love.
Mr. Hickam is a real-life dinosaur hunter who searches the badlands of Montana. He discovered two of only 36 T-rex dinosaurs ever found. Scientists determined that one of Mr. Hickam’s finds was not only female, but also pregnant.
Mr. Hickam’s discoveries are being examined by world famous paleontologist and Jurassic Park adviser Dr. John (Jack) Horner.
Mr. Hickam almost died three times during his dinosaur expeditions.
He's the bestselling author of Rocket Boys and many books; both non-fiction and fiction.
