Lady Anglers Try to Keep Dream Alive

Inaugaural Women’s Professional Bass Fishing Trail Event

Women’s professional bass fishing comes to Kentucky on May 6th and 7th, 2010. Organizers say lady bass anglers will travel from all over the world to Moor’s Resort and Marina on Kentucky Lake to pursue their dreams and passion of professional bass fishing.

ESPN/BASS recently dropped the Women’s Bassmaster Trail, leaving a void that many lady anglers said needed to be filled. They responded with the Women’s Professional Bass Fishing Trail. The first Women’s Invitational Trail tournament will be held on Kentucky Lake in May. The ladies will gather on May 8th, after the tournament to decide where and how they want their trail to continue.

The Kentucky Lake event in May is open to all interested ladies with two divisions; a Professional and Co-Angler division. Local sponsors include Sportsmen’s Edge Triton Boat dealership, Necessity Jigs, Moors Resort and Marina and Ray Barga and Associates, Inc.

This is a great opportunity for the ladies to continue to make their presence known in the world of professional fishing; and for Western Kentucky to show the world the great fishing opportunities that abound here; along with the wonderful hospitality and grace this area is known for, whenever bass tournaments and tourists come into the area.
