Soddy-Daisy's Andrea Johnson, who will be playing this fall at UTC, was recently chosen Tennessee's Player of the Match in the annual Tennessee-Georgia All-Star Volleyball Classic at GPS.

GPS coach Paul Brock, who coached the Tennessee team, referred to Johnson as a "powerhouse'' for her resounding hitting.

Johnson set a match record in the series with 18 kills.

Georgia won the first two games, but Tennessee took the next three in running its streak to 7-0 in the series. Johnson had five kills in the last game.
