Janice Owens
Janice Marlene Owens, of Chattanooga, died on Monday, August 2, 2010, at Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Owens was a realtor of Prudential Realty Center, having received her ABR, GRI. She was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church. She was a 1961 graduate of MTSU with a BS degree in Business Education. She was the 1958 Miss Midlander Pageant queen and an avid tennis player.
She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Lamar Owens, parents, Emerson and Alberta Iles, brothers, Jessie Lee Iles and W.V. Iles.
She is survived, deeply missed and loved by her husband of 49 years, Lamar Owens, daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Dikran Daghlian; two granddaughters, Emma Bleu Daghlian and Katia Rose Daghlian.
She is also survived by her brothers, Jack Iles, Kenneth Iles, Jimmy Iles; sisters, Brenda Iles, Carolyn Phillips, Geraldine Gritton, and Nancy; and dear friends, Margaret Brandon, Sandra Graves, Paula McDaniel, Susan Jensen, Mary Crumbliss, Judy Pratt, Judy Clevenger, and Julie Helms.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, at Brainerd Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
