Civil War-Era Clothing Exhibit At Chattooga Academy

Chattooga Academy will offer a new rotating exhibit on Civil War era clothing beginning Sunday, May 1.

The exhibit features reproductions of women’s and children’s clothing, as well as Confederate and Union uniform jackets, and additional information on clothing of the period. This exhibit is the second in a series of exhibits related to the Civil War sesquicentennial.

A volunteer will be on-hand to assist visitors with the clothing exhibit on Sundays from 1-3 p.m. hattooga Academy is open between 8:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. most days Monday through Friday. The building is at 304 N. Main St., LaFayette, Ga.

Admission is free. The exhibit will run through mid- July.
