Vivian Highsmith
Vivian E. Moore Highsmith, 77, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, September 22, 2011. She is now free of Alzheimer’s and dancing on the streets of gold in heaven.
Gran’V, as she was known by her grandchildren, lived in Chattanooga, but was originally from Nashville. She was an incredible artist, cook, seamstress, singer, ballroom dancer and traveled extensively. She was also Ms. Senior Cumberland County, Tn., in 2000.
Most importantly, she loved the Lord and led all five of her children to the Lord at an early age.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul Butler Moore, Sr. and Bonnie Martin Moore, and brother, Paul Butler Moore, Jr.
Survivors include her five children, Preston Kentt (Dianne) Highsmith; Karenn (Morgan) Hall; Keith (Tammie) Highsmith; Kevin (Tammi) Highsmith; Kandy (Jeff) Jones; sisters, Paula (Walton) Brown; Bonnie (Jimmie) Lee; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
There will be no visitation. The family will have a private service on Saturday evening, September 24, at 7 p.m. in the home of Kevin Highsmith.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Diabetes Association.
