Nancy Marie Newman, 68, of Soddy Daisy, died on Friday, March 9, 2012 after a brief struggle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed Jacks and Minnie Jacks; brothers, Lawrence Jacks and Willard Jacks and sisters, Barbara Jean Barefield and Josephine Jacks.
Nancy is survived by her son, James David Newman and his wife, Tina Newman; her daughters, Angela Marie Newman and Kathy Ann Hixson and her husband, Johnny Hixson; her grandson, Jonathan Steven Hixson and her sisters, Della Farrow and Linda Canalego.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who lived her life to the fullest and was blessed with the love of family and friends who will greatly miss her. The children are eternally grateful to the family members for their tireless devotion to their mother during her illness and are thankful for the care provided to her by the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Dewayne Renfro officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton County Memorial Park.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 13, from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday after 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
