Larry Darnell Lovelace is facing an aggravated rape charge after a woman said he pulled a knife on her and raped her.

The woman said Lovelace first told her to perform a sex act on him. She said he then sexually assaulted her and afterward forced her to the ground and forced himself on her.

She said he then grabbed her by the head of the hair and yanked her head forward.

Police said the victim's hair was matted down and had grass and debris visible throughout it.

Lovelace, 50, of 1721 Wilson St., gave several different versions of what happened, police said.
