Two new restaurants are getting ready to open in Chattanooga.

Antonia Poland said her new restaurant is Dipped Fresh at 221 River St  It will serve sandwiches, salads, soups, and smoothies among other things.

She told the city Beer Board that customers would have to eat to drink.

She plans on being open week days until 7 p.m. and will close before dark.

During the summer, the business will stay open from 1-7 p.m. on the weekends.

Another new restaurant is opening at Hamilton Place Mall in the old location of American Café.

According to co-owner Tony Desalvo, the new business will be considered an upscale, casual restaurant with a full menu and bar. The emphasis will be on food, and there are no plans for live entertainment except for the VIP party on opening night.
