Cofer, Edith Carson

Edith Carson Cofer, 97, of Chattanooga, died at her home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.  

She was a member of First Christian Church and Ladies Kiwanis’s Club.  Edith graduated from Edmondson Business College and worked many years for Double Cola and Barker Oil Company. She loved boating and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hyatt B. Cofer, Sr.; son, Hyatt B. Cofer, Jr. and parents, J.M. (Pat) Carson and Carmelia Carson.

Survivors are daughter-in-law, Rosie G. Cofer of Chattanooga, and several cousins.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.  

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Paul Rebelo officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
