The Scenic City’s own City of Chattanooga Pipe Band has finished another season of local performances and regional competitions. The Band competed at the 41st Annual Stone Mountain Highland Games and Scottish Festival on Saturday held at Stone Mountain Park, Georgia.  They took first place in their division out of a field of 13 bands (each band is made up of a corp of bagpipes as well as a corp of drums).

The band has appeared throughout the tri-state area in the past at such venues as Rock City Garden’s Shamrock City and Riverbend. The next appearance will be Nov. 9 during the UTC Football half-time show.

The City of Chattanooga Pipe Band is under the direction Pipe Major Tom Arnold and Drum Sergeant David Cameron. The band is now booking performances for 2014 and is always looking for new members.

Check the band’s website for upcoming local performances and information about the band.
