Dan Bowers
ArtsBuild President Dan Bowers will serve as a presenter at the Americans for the Arts Annual Convention on June 16, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
In its 58th year, the Americans for the Arts Annual Convention brings together over 1,000 arts professionals from across the country to discuss strategies for building stronger towns, counties, and cities through the arts. Attendees exchange ideas on arts education, cultural diversity, emerging leaders, public art, and fundraising. Mr. Bowers’ panel session will focus on how cultural planning can leverage public engagement. Additional panelists in the session include representatives from Chicago and Atlanta.
Mr. Bowers said, “This is not only a validation of our work at ArtsBuild but also national recognition for the role the arts play in making Chattanooga a great city. My two co- presenters are from major metropolitan areas, so it speaks volumes about our how well-respected our community is, not only compared to other mid-sized cities but also among some of the top cities in the nation.”
Founded in 1960, Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts and arts education. They are dedicated to representing and serving local communities and to creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
