Soddy Daisy Wins State Sporting Clay Championship For 2nd Time

Last month Soddy Daisy competed and won the sporting clay competition in the Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target State Championship. This makes the second consecutive year Soddy Daisy has won.

Soddy Daisy won the varsity three-man squad, as well as the high overall team award.

Paxton Pelfrey from Soddy Daisy won the varsity high overall male individual award shooting a 97 out of 100. Sheldon Rodgers was runner up with a 96.

Erica Dunn from Soddy Daisy topped the female varsity division shooting 90 out of 100.

Soddy Daisy also had four team members selected for the All State Team Award. Paxton Pelfrey, Sheldon Rodgers, Cody Hedgecoth and Erica Dunn were selected not only by their shooting skills but also by their academic achievements.

The Soddy Daisy Team now plans to travel next week to Sparta, IL, to compete in the National SCTP Championship against team from all across the nation.
