Willie Mae Price
Willie Mae Price, 94, died on July 23, 2013 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
She attended Emmanuel Apostolic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Esther Brown; husband, Samuel Price; sister and brother-in-law, Marshall and Dorothy Boatwright; brothers, Collin and Wallace Brown.
Survivors include her three sons, Walter L. Sr., (Dorothy); Preston D. (Rosezetta) and Min. George W. Price; grandchildren, Walter (Sherrie) Price, Jr. and Anthony D. (Adrian) Price; Vickie (Anthony) Hollans of Savannah, Georgia and Stacey Banks; two sisters, Lillie Jackson, Jersey City, NJ, and Mildred (Riley) Halloway of Metter, Georgia; brother, James (Ruth) Brown, Metter, Georgia; 13 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; best friends, Mattie Mae Davis and Ivola Newson.
The family would like to say special thanks to the 5th floor at Memorial Hospital; 4th floor at Parkridge Hospital and Life Care of Hixson Rehab Center and Staff; Avalon Hospice, Doctors, Kevin Bell, Bernard Parham and Radford Yates and John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 28, at 2:30 p.m. at New Holy Temple COGIC, 2311 Bliss Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37406, with Bishop J. M. Scott, Sr., officiating and Elder James Foster, Jr. as eulogist. Interment will be in National Cemetery on Monday at 12:30 p.m.
The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, July 27, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
