Thelma Pittman
Thelma Elizabeth Pittman, 93, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.
She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and retired from BiLo after many years of service. Mrs. Pittman was a member of the Church of God for 83 years and at the time of her death was a member of Omega Harvest Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Pittman.
Survivors are her daughter, Wanda Johnson, East Ridge; son, Bishop Charles E. Pittman and wife, Carol of Chattanooga; three brothers, Eugene Massengale, Soddy Daisy, Richard and Charles Massengale both of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren, Jamie Pittman (Larry) Sample, Beth Pittman (Terry) Trussell, Mia Pittman (David) Head, Charles E. (Amanda) Pittman II, Tim (Karen) Johnson, Tami (Meredith) Johnson Howard and David (Danielle) Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A service of celebration will be held on Saturday, Nov. 176, at 2 p.m. at the Omega Harvest Church of God with Reverend Mia Pittman-Head, senior pastor at Omega Harvest Church of God, and Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road and on Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.
