Joetta was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Harris, Jr.; parents, Charles C. and Henrietta Ball Schmitt; son, Terry Harris; grandson, Donnie Harris; and sister, Betty Atkins.
She is survived by her son, Henry Lee (Mary) Harris; sister, Dorothy Workman; brothers, Leon "Bud" Schmitt, Charles "Chock" Schmitt, and Frankie Schmitt; grandchildren, Terry Harris, Jr., Brittany Harris, and Destanie Harris; great-grandchild, Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with Reverend Mark Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, and prior to leaving for the service on Tuesday.
