Funeral Is Saturday For Cleveland Teen Who Died In Wreck After Police Chase

Funeral services will be Saturday for a 16-year-old who wrecked his grandmother's car on Monday afternoon after a police chase.

The grandmother, Ruth Johnson, was following him in another vehicle. She said he barely knew how to drive.

Eric Tyler Johnson, a Baptist, was getting ready to enter 11th grade this fall.  He enjoyed BMX racing, fishing, race cars, and auto mechanics. 

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland with the Reverend Ray Cheathem officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dill Cemetery with his family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends in the chapel on Friday from 5-9 p.m. and also on Saturday from 12-2 p.m.
