John P. Franklin Humanitarian Award Banquet To Feature Roast Of Luther

The John P. Franklin Humanitarian Award Banquet will feature a roast of Radio Hall of Famer Luther Masingill.

It will be Thursday, Aug. 14, at Stratton Hall at 3146 Broad St.

Officials noted that this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Among those sponsoring the event are Larry and Carol Grohn, Senator  Todd Gardenhire and Teresa Wood.

A silent auction and social will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a dinner and program beginning at 6 p.m.
