William (Doc) T. Wright, Jr., 66, died on July 25, 2014. 

He was born Oct. 18, 1947, in Chattanooga, to the late Mrs. Louise Jackson Williams and Mr. William T. Wright, Sr.

Mr. Wright was a graduate of Riverside High School Class of 1965. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was employed by  Gilman Paint and U. S. Pipe Foundry for more than 20 years combined. He was the owner of WTW Janitoral Service (Chattanooga Allergy Clinic, Chattanooga Skin & Cancer Clinic, Dr. Keith Dessler, Dr. David Monen, Dr.Kenneth C. Parker) for over 25 years.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Louise Jackson Williams, Mr. William T. Wright, Sr. and Mrs. Beulah Vassar, aunt.

He is survived by his wife, JoeAnn Wright, two sons, William T. Wright III (wife Erica) and Garion T. Wright, seven grandchildren, Ayanna Gbedi Wright, William T. Wright IV, G’yasi Wright, Cyrus Wright, Kieran Wright, Ayana Gustus and Jordan Gustus, four sisters, Sylvia A. Wright, Crystal F. Wright, Mara E. Wright and Karen E. Williams, one brother, Marty D. Wright and one aunt, Mattie L. King and two uncles, Irvin L. Jackson and Usher T. Jackson and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 1, at noon at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1156 E. Main Street, with Reverend James E. Calhoun officiating and Pastor James W. McClarty, Eulogist.  Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, July 31, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
