Mother Of Criminal Court Clerk Vince Dean Retired From Combustion Engineering

Mary Jo Dean, 82, of East Ridge, died on Friday, January 9, 2015.

A lifelong resident of East Ridge, Mrs. Dean was a member of the Frawley Road Baptist Church.

She retired from Combustion Engineering and was formerly employed with the Social Security Administration Department of Disabilities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sallie Whitmire;  sister, Frances Turner; brothers, Frank and Jim Whitmire.

She was a faithful pastor’s wife for 61 years to her husband, Rev. Billy Dean; and is survived by her son, Vince (Debbie) Dean, East Ridge; three grandchildren, Justin Dean, Washington, D.C.,  Olivia Dean (Chad Lee) and Sallie Dean, all of East Ridge; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Ronnie Phillips and Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
