Two Class AA volleyball teams won sectional matches on Thursday to advance to next week's TSSAA State Tournament in Murfreesboro, but the two Class A teams weren't so fortunate.
Sale Creek dropped a heart-breaking 3-2 decision to Jackson County while the Silverdale Lady Seahawks came out on the short end of a 3-1 match at Goodpasture.
Sale Creek had a 2-1 lead following wins in the first and third sets, but the Lady Blue Devils won the fourth by a 25-20 score and the tie breaker at 15-10 to advance.
The Lady Panthers conclude another successful season at 31-9.
