Stephanie Hammonds
Stephanie Lenette Hammonds, 44, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at a local hospital with her family by her side.
She was born Dec. 7, 1970. God looked down and granted Stephanie her wings after a sudden asthma attack.
Stephanie was a graduate of Kirkman High School, class of 1989. She was a former employee of Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Tennessee and The Health Center at Standifer place.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eddie and Pearlie Mae Browdy and Freddie L. Hammonds, Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Germichael and Darran Suggs; one daughter, Ashley Hines; four grandchildren; mother, Gloria Hammonds; father, Robert Browdy; grandmother, Hattie Mae Hammonds; a devoted and loving companion, Charles Haywood, Sr.; one brother, Shannon Browdy; two sisters, Rhonda (Ricky) Halfacre and Laquitor (Bilal) Browdy; four uncles, Freddie L. Hammonds, Jr., Willie (Valorie) Browdy, James Browdy and Eddie “Chin” Browdy, Jr.; six aunts, Linda G. Richards, Antionette Lewis, Wanda (Lamar) Threat, Libby (David) Harrison, Laura Dockey and Rosa Browdy; a close and dear childhood friend, Cassandra Lee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, April 12, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Minister Linda G. Richards officiating.
The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, April 11, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
